In this guide
The programme guide is what turns a long channel list into a television schedule. When it is set up well, it is quick and reliable. When it is not, the times look wrong and channels show nothing. This article covers the settings that matter most.
Set the time zone first
Most listing problems are time-zone problems. A programme that looks an hour early or late usually means the offset is wrong. Open the guide settings and set the time zone for your location. Check it against a channel you know, such as a national news bulletin.
When a channel shows “No information”
Not every channel has listings, and some publish them late. Refresh the guide data from the settings and wait a few minutes. If a channel still has no listings after a day, it probably has none to share. The channel still plays normally.
Favourites make the guide usable
Mark the channels you watch most as favourites. In the CatchOn TV app and in TiviMate, favourites sit at the top of the list, and the guide can be scrolled from there. A short list is easier to browse with a remote.
Refresh after changes
Refresh the guide after you change the time zone, after a long break and after you sign in on a new device. This helps the listings line up with the channels you watch.
Catch-up and the guide
Some channels mark programmes that can be replayed. Look for the replay marker in the guide. Our catch-up page explains which channels offer it.
The short version
Set the time zone, refresh the data when listings are missing, save your favourites and check the guide against a channel you know. Our TV guide page gives the full picture.
