Once the app is installed on an Android device, signing in takes a minute. This guide covers the sign-in, the first settings to change and the most common problems. Keep your activation code and login details to hand.
Signing in
- Open the CatchOn TV app. The first screen asks for your activation code.
- Type the code from your activation email or from My subscription. Codes are case-sensitive, so type them exactly as shown.
- If the app also asks for login details, enter the username and password from the same place.
- Wait for the channel list to load. The first load can take a minute on a slow connection.
The settings to change first
- Time zone for the guide. Set it to your own location so listings show the right times. A wrong offset is the most common cause of a programme appearing an hour early or late.
- Favourites. Save the channels you watch most, so the list starts with them.
- Quality. If a channel stutters, try the lower-quality version of the same channel before you give up on it.
Common problems
- Activation code rejected. Check the spelling, the spaces and capital letters. If it is still rejected, the activation code article lists the fixes.
- Channel list empty. Check the connection, then sign out and sign in again. If it stays empty, contact support.
- App closes on start. Restart the device, then reinstall the latest APK if the problem continues.
Questions about the app
Can I use the same code on two devices?
The code counts toward your screen allowance. Each screen that signs in uses one of the connections in your plan.
Where do I find my code again?
In your activation email, and under My subscription.
Does the app sync my favourites between devices?
Favourites are kept on each device, so set them separately on each screen.
