Each device has its own install guide, because the steps differ. Start with the guide for the screen you will watch on. If you are not sure which screen to use, the devices page explains which route suits each one.

Before you start any guide
Have your activation code and login details ready, from your email or My subscription. Make sure the device is connected to the internet and that it has enough free storage for an app of a few hundred megabytes. Then follow the guide for your device from the top.
When a step does not match
Software updates move menus around. If a name in a guide does not match your screen, search the settings for the key word in that step, such as “unknown apps” or “time zone”. If you are still stuck, contact support and name the device and the step.

Which guide should I read first?
The one for your main screen. Add the others later if you need them.
Are the guides the same for every model?
They cover the main types of device. Models from the same brand can differ slightly, so compare the menu names with your screen.
Do the guides change when the app is updated?
We revise them when an update changes a step. The date at the top of each guide shows when it was last checked.
