Live channels are the heart of CatchOn TV. They arrive in the app grouped by theme and by country, so you can open the sport, the news or the children’s group without scrolling through everything else. Each group below explains what it holds and how it works in practice.
The groups
- Sports: live matches, studio shows and sports news, with events grouped by competition.
- Movie channels: channels that show films around the clock, plus cinema-style premieres where they are offered.
- TV shows: drama, comedy, reality and factual series on channels that run them as schedules.
- Kids: children’s programmes in separate groups, so younger viewers can browse safely.
- News: rolling news and current affairs from several countries.
- Entertainment: music, lifestyle, cooking and general entertainment channels.
- World channels: stations from other countries, grouped by region and language.
How a line-up stays current
Channels are added, moved and removed as the line-up changes. A channel that is in a group today may be in a different group next month, or gone. We cannot guarantee any particular channel, so the groups are the best way to think about what you get.
Picture and sound
Most channels are offered in HD. Some broadcasters send 4K, and where the line-up carries it you will see the quality listed on the channel. Picture quality also depends on your connection, so the internet speed guide is worth reading if a channel stutters.
Questions about live channels
How many channels does CatchOn TV have?
We do not publish a channel count, because the line-up changes. Browse the groups in the app to see what is available for your plan.
Can I make my own list of favourites?
Yes. In the CatchOn TV app and in TiviMate, you can mark channels as favourites and hide groups you never watch.
Do all channels have a programme guide?
Most do. Channels whose listings are missing show “No information” in the guide. The TV guide page explains how to refresh the listings.
Can I watch channels from other countries?
Yes, where the line-up includes them. They are grouped under world channels, and their listings follow their own time zone.
