Catch-up, sometimes called replay, lets you watch a programme that has already aired. It works on channels that keep an archive of their recent output, and the guide shows which programmes can be replayed.

How catch-up works

Find the programme in the guide. If the channel keeps an archive and the programme is inside the archive window, a replay option appears. Select it and the programme starts from the beginning, or from the point you choose.

Which channels offer it

Catch-up depends on the channel and its broadcaster, so it is offered on some channels and not others. The archive window also varies: a few days for some channels, longer for others. The guide is the only reliable source for what is available on a given day.

Recording

TiviMate Premium includes recording where the channel allows it, which is a different thing from catch-up. Recording saves a programme to your device, while catch-up streams one from the broadcaster’s archive. The TV guide article and your device guide describe the steps.

Questions about catch-up

Why can I not replay a programme on a channel I watch?

That channel probably keeps no archive, or the programme is outside its archive window.

Does catch-up cost extra?

No. Catch-up is included in every plan where a channel offers it.

Can I pause a live channel?

Not on a live stream. Pausing and rewinding a live channel needs the time-shift feature, which TiviMate Premium offers where the channel supports it.
