  4. The short version

Roku is a popular streaming platform, so many people ask whether CatchOn TV runs on it. The answer is that the CatchOn TV app cannot be installed on a Roku. Roku has its own channel store and does not allow Android APK files, and that is the reason.

What this means

A Roku cannot run the CatchOn TV app. We are not aware of an official CatchOn TV channel in the Roku store. A Roku might play an IPTV service through a compatible player that is listed in its store and accepts login details, but we have not verified any such player for this service, so we cannot recommend one.

The route that works

The reliable option is to keep the Roku for other things and add an Android device to the same television. An Android TV or Google TV box, or a Fire OS stick, runs the CatchOn TV app and TiviMate Premium, and it sits beside the Roku on another HDMI input. You switch inputs with the remote.

Before you buy a Roku

Ask support before you buy, and tell us the model you own. We will tell you what we know about your options. Please do not rely on a Roku as the only screen until that answer is clear.

The short version

The CatchOn TV app does not run on Roku. For a television that has a Roku, add an Android TV, Google TV or Fire OS device on another HDMI input, and check with support before you rely on any other player.
